Social Enterprise Hub Birmingham

The Social Enterprise Hub Birmingham is a new, free support and development service specifically for social enterprises. If your enterprise is (or will be) based in Birmingham, and operates on a not-for-personal-profit basis, reinvesting its surpluses in achieving a social mission, then we can help you.

Social Enterprise Hub draws together expertise from a number of specialist providers to ensure that you can receive free business support of the highest quality, tailored specifically to the needs of social enterprises.

For new-start enterprises, there is a comprehensive support and development package to help you every step of the way - right from the germ of a business idea, to registering the business and starting to trade. This includes:

   • Raising awareness

  • Presentations, toolkits and modules that help raise awareness and understanding of social enterprise
  • Basic business skills workshops
  • Social enterprise visits

   • Identifying & testing the business idea

  • Initial assessment of support needs and developing an action plan
  • One-to-one support and mentoring
  • Intensive, specialist modules on key social enterprise business issues
