Jericho Construction, part of the Jericho Foundation, was established in 2005. Operating from sites in Birmingham and Rochdale, it has grown into a business turning over more than £530,000 a year and employing 19 staff.
Jericho Construction offers work experience opportunities, apprenticeships, accredited vocational training in a range of professional construction settings and illustrates how income-generating social enterprises can be used as environments in which unemployed and disadvantaged young people can learn
new skills and overcome their personal barriers to employment.
Future business priorities: to increase the average size of its construction projects and also become more involved in socially useful property development activities.
